About the campus

Blue Mountains Campus is a green, resilient campus focused on employee wellbeing and designed to meet the growing demand for flexible commercial and retail space in the Wellington region.

Delivered by developer Willis Bond, designed by award-winning architects Studio Pacific Architecture and being built by LT McGuinness, the campus is centrally located at 68 Ward Street, Upper Hutt.


Final 1,300sqm now leasing

Your business would join anchor KiwiRail and MBIE, and Grounds Cafe, which are all tenants in Stage 1.

There are 1,300 square metres of modern 5 Green Star design-accredited office space with expansive views available in this stage. It can be leased altogether or as smaller spaces. Leasing packages can be customised to meet your needs and Upper Hutt City Council is offering a rates remission deal for tenants.

Seeking registrations of interest for co-working hub

We are seeking registrations of interest for a campus co-working hub. It would include:

  • Single desk offerings with great green outlooks

  • Short-term membership contracts and competitive pricing

  • Shared kitchen facilities and bookable meeting spaces

  • Office cleaning and building maintenance

  • Located in a modernised building, refurbished to 100% NBS and 5 Green Star design certification

Grounds café now open!

We are very excited to announce that Grounds café and eatery is now open and serving up great food and beverages to both campus occupants and members of the public. Open Monday - Friday 07:30 - 3:00pm. Just inside the campus main gates. Come and try it out!

KiwiRail & MBIE join
Blue Mountains Campus

KiwiRail is now occupying its new space within the campus. NZ’s national rail operator has leased 2,700 square metres of space in Stage 1, which includes its state-of-the-art new National Train Control Centre, from where the team oversees 90% of New Zealand’s rail network.

MBIE has also taken 1,300 square metres of space in Stage 1 and is now also occupying the campus.
