Campus Community

A community for forward-thinking organisations.

Blue Mountains Campus is a sustainable, future-focused commercial community for forward-thinking organisations.

The campus can deliver tailored facilities for a wide variety of businesses from tech start-ups to large government agencies with great office and retail options ready for occupation from mid-2023.

We are proud to welcome the following businesses as key tenants within the Blue Mountains Campus community.

KiwiRail joins the campus

We are proud to welcome KiwiRail as the campus’ first anchor tenant, with a 20-year lease on 2,700 square metres in Stage 1.

KiwiRail has secured a mix of space, taking 1,400 square metres in the refurbished Buddle Building as well as building a bespoke, state-of-the-art 1,300 square metre National Train Control Centre.

This partnership is a great example of what the campus can deliver – high-quality office space and built-to-specification premises.

With work now underway, we look forward to welcoming KiwiRail’s 100-strong train control team to the campus later this year.

We are also in discussions with several other public and private organisations about taking space at the campus and anticipate being able to make further announcements in the near future.

MBIE confirmed for Government regional hub

We are delighted to introduce another key tenant joining the campus community, Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment. MBIE are scheduled to occupy 1,300sqm of the refurbished Buddle Building, on a 12-year lease.

Blue Mountains Campus is Government Property Group's first strategic regional hub, designed to bring public services and public servants closer to the communities they serve.

Doing so will support local economies, reduce commuter congestion and carbon emissions, and create a more resilient public sector.

The site has been designed to specifically address key government procurement policies with a strong emphasis on resilience, sustainability, cost efficiencies and cultural narrative.
